Story

Hide and Seek earrings were first made by sole producer and designer, Eva Stumpf, as a small batch of Christmas presents in 2017. Sporting the handmade earrings on the regular, commissions started flourishing and so Hide and Seek was born.

Leather is collected via several suppliers who are bag makers, shoe makers and upholsterers, no longer able to use the smaller pieces. I find them perfect to explore creative ways to learn the characteristics of the different leathers and design accordingly.

Care

Jewellery that's made to be worn!

Leather is supple and flexible (and stainable!). So to care for your light as a feather leather earrings avoid pen, oil, and make up. Makeup will mostly come off, foundation and the likes, with a damp rag. Oil will only darken the colour of your leather, not wreck it all together, I've seen pieces worn and worn and oil has slowly seeped in from the skin and made the colour richer and more deep and actually looking better!

If your earrings are bent or creased you can first reshape them with your hands. If this doesn't work flatten them by dampening them and drying them flat or leaving something heavy on top while they dry.
